About

Tzuhan Lin (b. 1998) is a Taiwanese artist working across sculpture, installation, and moving image. She graduated from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Sculpture in 2023, and previously completed a BA in Painting at Edinburgh College of Art.

Her practice looks at what we experience and what we depend on to experience, exploring human perception and the structures, conditions or media that make it possible. Working across physical and digital media, Tzuhan’s works convey relationships between weight, balance and tension. Situated at the threshold between tangible and intangible, steady and weightless, her practice challenges binary thinking and explores the coexistence and interconnection of natural conditions and regulatory systems, while considering the role of human agency. In this context, her practice values flexibility, presence and possibility, questioning absolute dominance and hierarchical structures.

Often site responsive, her works open a dialogue through physical materials such as steel, wood, clay, alongside virtual elements including 3D modeling and printing, animation and projection. Through the construction and deconstruction of concepts or media, she reflects on the indeterminate nature of time, inviting viewers to reconsider time as a flexible, negotiated condition rather than an absolute truth regulated by human systems.
